One cottage sleeps five and the other sleeps six. Our comfortable holiday cottages, built on a traditional croft, are perfect bases for exploration and enjoyment of the scenic West Coast of the Isle of Harris.

Byre Cottage:

The other half of the steading houses the Byre Cottage which sleeps five and has two bedrooms one of which is a double /family room and the other has a bunk bed and a single bed. There is a wash hand basin with a shaver point in the smaller bedroom with a large shower/toilet room next door suitable for disabled access.

Stable Cottage forms one half of the converted steading at Borvemor and is completely self contained. It has three bedrooms; one double room and two twin rooms with bunk beds. A cot and baby phone can be provided.

The living room is spacious with comfortable seating and full height glass door panels at the gable -end with an open plan dining area at the other end. The modern fitted kitchen includes an electric cooker, a microwave, and a freezer in the vestibule/box room.There are also on site launderette facilities. There is a toilet and shower room with a further toilet /washroom off the corridor which leads through to the bedrooms .

The sleeping accommodation of the Stable Cottage can be increased to eight persons by converting two futons in the living room into single beds, and at an additional charge indicated on the tariff page.

The modern fitted kitchen/living room is in an adjoining wing to the bedrooms linked by a corridor opening on to a spacious conservatory. There is a microwave oven and electric oven in the kitchen. The furnishings are soft cushioned pine easy chairs with a rectangular pine dining table. There is a washing machine and tumble dryer in a separate launderette room.

Larger groups of up to 12 can be accommodated By hiring both cottages, replacing the double beds with singles, if required, and converting four futons (reclining chairs) into single beds.

Linen and duvets are provided. Towels can be hired. A travel cot for up to two year olds and a baby phone is available. We do not have T.V. reception but provide a DVD player, radio/cassette recorder and board games.

A pet dog is welcome by arrangement and with their own basket as they cannot sleep in the bedrooms or on the furniture. The electricity is metered and read weekly.
