The two storey Vallay House shown here was recently built up from the walls of the late 18^th century Borvemor House.

Our property offers 4star quality self-catering accommodation, for 5 people but we have an additional, high quality, pull-out bed, available if required.

Downstairs is a spacious living room with comfortable soft furnishings and an interesting library which include books about Scotland and the Hebrides. The adjoining kitchen galley is fully equiped and leads on to the dining area where you can enjoy your meal or, on one of our glorious evenings you can eat outside on the sunny south facing patio and garden area.

Vallay House is at the corner of a dry stane walled garden and the sitting area at the back faces South and is very sheltered. Access to the machair land and glorious Atlantic beach is a few minutes walk away on the West coast of Harris. Highland Cattle and Blackface Sheep are on the Thirty acre working croft  surrounding Vallay House and there is a trout loch quarter of an hours hill walk away. There is an excellent 9 hole links golf course one mile away accessible on a daily basis.

The house, although originally built around 1750, is fully modernised. There are two bedrooms upstairs, one with an adjoining dressing room, and a single, bedroom downstairs. The bathroom upstairs has a bath, shower and toilet and there is a double shower room and further toilet downstairs.
